Very convenient, excellent location, excellent staff
good comfy bed, excellent location
I stayed at Color Kata for 15 nights. I have visited Kata about 25 times over the past 15 years, love resort. Price is the same as IBIS nearby but does not offer same value for money: very poor wifi (if you arrive as a couple with 3 devices you need to ask for 3 wifi passwords as they only provide 1; the wifi keeps stopping, need to keep logging back on); staff not completely on top of things; toilet design means easier to do Number 2 or pooh at Starbucks; no pool; no balcony; room smaller; less toiletries Color Kata owned by Sawasdee Group who own luxury hotel opposite so can have no excuses. I would only recommend staying at Color Kata for about 4 days. I should have rented a condo.
Excellent location, close to beach and restaurants. Rooms stay quite cool so didn't need AC at night.
The first night they gave a big room with a fake window, very soffocating. for the other nights they changes us to a smaller room with a real window, but it smelled sewers all the time. The hotel needs to be refurbished. There are better hotel for less in the area
the staff is helpfull
Good hotel for the money
Lighting in room a bit on the dark side for us
Excellent service, good location value for money
The only thing I don't like is that the room didn't have a window
The design of the hotel was very nice
Affordable stay at Kata beach
Some noise coming from the corridor.
Clean and cool looking room. Nice location and cheap price.
Nice, clean and convenient.
Unnecessarily divided shower and bathroom which was already small.
Staff at the reception was very nice, room was clean, perfect location, not too far from the beach and amenities.
Great value for money
Could do with being a bit lighter in the room
For the price you can't knock it. Really friendly staff
Staff friendly and welcoming. Location good
The rooms weren't cleaned very well
Staff friendly and helpful and good location for base
Good hotel but dark rooms
Very dark room due to poor lighting (I think they were going for ambient rather than practical lighting, but the overall effect is rather dreary and frustrating); be sure to ask for a room with a "view", otherwise you may get a room without a window; smoking was permitted in the fully enclosed lobby, which was dreadful to have to walk through
Good location, not far from beach (there's a free shuttle to Kata beach that leaves right outside the hotel every hour if you don't want to walk); quirky; very helpful and friendly staff (helped with issues right away, like resetting the internet and printing out boarding passes); huge king-sized bed; a couple of English TV channels; fridge, kettle and free daily drinking water; large plastic tub for rinsing clothes/beachwear plus lots of hangers; plugpoints on the headboard
